London Internet Exchange expands team.

London Internet Exchange (LINX) - the largest Internet exchange point outside the USA - has strengthened its head office team with the appointment of Richard Yule as business development officer.

Richard, 27, a Leeds University engineering graduate, has spent the past four years in computer and Internet industry technical roles. He was customer support group supervisor with PSINet UK until December 2002 and most recently was with Star Internet, where he managed customer firewall, VPN and other security solutions.

At LINX he will support new member recruitment and communications activities, reporting to sales and marketing manager Vanessa Evans.

LINX is a mutual organisation owned by around 140 Internet service providers and content delivery service providers. It allows competing networks to exchange Internet traffic cost-effectively, bringing speed and efficiency benefits to their customers.
